On Sunday the ladies played at home against Stratton Churchway in the first round of the Wiltshire Top 10, Our ladies took second place, in a well played game. At the end of the game a nice cream tea was enjoyed by everyone.

There is no game in the North Wilts Mixed League, however in the evening we played Chippenham Park in the Bowls Wiltshire Mixed 2 rink competition and unfortunately lost 27-43.

Also on Monday evening Martin Summers and Hugh Burchell travelled to Chippenham Town in the 2nd round of the Bowls Wiltshire Senior pairs and lost 10-24 to John Fitzpatrick, better luck in 2023.

On Tuesday Yvonne played in the Champions of Champions against North W#ilts, she was very successful by winning  22-17. It was a friendly close game, even though a short break was taken to let rain shower pass. We would like to wish Yvonne  success in the next round.

On Tuesday the ladies played their first  Seidel league game, they were drawn against each other (Blues & Greens) The Blues 11 Greens 23. They had to play their first game in the rain, all in good spirit.

Whilst a similar game took place in the Men’s White Horse League with Calne ‘C’coming out on top 19-10 to Calne ‘B’. Calne ‘A’ s game at home to Spencer Melksham ‘B’ is being re-arranged.

Tuesday evening at 6-00pm is the weekly Club Night, all welcome-visitors included.

On Wednesday evening our ladies played at home against Devizes Blues in the B/W league, Calne ladies had a win 32-30, it was a good game and very friendly, it was also a pleasure to play in the sun and a warm evening, it was followed by a good supper which was enjoyed by everyone.

The MWMTL game for Calne’A’ with away to Trowbridge ‘A’ was played on Wednesday with Calne ‘A’  winning 62-47 (10 -0pts)

On Thursday in the MWMTL, Calne ‘B’ were at home to North Wilts ‘B’, unfortunately they lost 49-51 (2-8 pts).

On Saturday afternoon there was a mixed friendly at home to Bath Bloomfield, in celebration of the Queens Jubilee red, white and blue were the colours and a very good afternoon was had by all, with food and liquid refreshments. The score was not confirmed but it was believed to be a win for Calne. The decks were the cleared ready for the evening members jubilee BBQ, again the colour theme continued and with Yvonne organising, Les on the BBQ and Stuart at the bar, it was a great success.
