On Monday afternoon our ladies played at home in the 4th Round of the Bowls Wiltshire ladies over 70’s against Westlecott it was a well fought game up until the last two ends when Westlecott pulled away to win 18-24. Our ladies had a good afternoon, we have to say well done! to our ladies for getting this far in the County over 70’s this is the first time CBC had done so well in this County competition.
On Tuesday our ladies Blue team played at home in the Seidal against North Wilts, this was a tight game and the Blues came away with a 17-16 win, WELL done ladies!!
In the Mens’s White Horse League the A team were away to Chippenham Town Tigers and lost 17-14. The B team were at home to Warminster Wolves and won 16-14 and the C team also at home to Devizes F lost 8-20.
In the evening it would have been Club night but it was cancelled due to heavy rain.
Wednesday we entertained the Wiltshire Masons against Amesbury B.C. it was a very enjoyable match with some fine bowling, enjoyed by both side, pictures to follow later.
On Thursday morning Sally Field and Mary Marsh played in The Swaffield Novices Cup final, club competition. Mary won with a score of 21-9. Well done to both ladies getting into the final.

There was only one game in the M.W.M.T.L. as the B team had an open date, the A team were at home to Bradford-on-Avon and won 61-47 (10-0pts), they are now 7 points clear in Division 1, with one game to play against the bottom team next week.
On Friday evening our ladies played Chippenham Town, In the Nor West League,It was a good game and enjoyed by everyone, Calne won 38-33, At present we are runner up in the league with two games to be played,
Friday also saw the final of the Paul Mackie open singles competition, with Ian Gregory beating Paul Mackie 19-15.
Friday and Saturday coaching sessions as normal.
On Saturday the Final of the Mixed Drawn pairs club competition took place, between Dave Johns and Sylvia Chambers against Ian Gregory and Sue Pitman, It was a nail biting game throughout, until the last end when Dave and Sylvia took two shots to become winners with a score 15-13.
