Sunday had the final of the Ladies 101 Competition between Sally Field and Mary Marsh, which resulted in a win for Sally 108-62, Freda Hatherell, who’s late husband donated the trophy was there to present the trophies, well done to Sally and commiserations to Mary.
On Tuesday morning the Bridges Competition Final between Yvonne and Ann C, took place. It was a close game, Yvonne held on to win and retain the trophy with a score 22-14, Well done Yvonne, commiserations Ann.
Both Seidal leaque teams played today, The Blue team were away to Box (Purple) they were level pegging until the last end when they dropped 6 and lost 15-11, The Green team were at home against Chippenham Park and had a good win 22-6.
In the evening it is Club Night as normal, start time 6pm.
Wednesday we are hosting Wiltshire Masons, who will be holding their competition day, as Bucks Masonic B.A. have cancelled, start time 2pm.
On Wednesday evening our ladies were at home against Winsley in the B/W league, they had a good win with a score 33-24. At the same time the Men’s Pairs Final took place with Paul Mackie/Les Fish beating Dave Johns/Barry Wicks by 15-14, it was a close game with some fine bowling, but eventually it was won on the last end.
On Thursday to celebrate the end of the Men’s Triples League, the A’s challenged the B’s, It was a very enjoyable evening with the ‘B’ team coming out winners 42-38, winning 2 rinks to 1, rink scores (but no names) 12-10, 23-8, and 7-20, congratulations to both teams, a picture gallery can be reached by the following link, some very interesting delivery styles. On Friday our ladies were away to Box (Pink) playing in the Seidal League, Our Blue team had a good game with a score 15-12 to Box.
