The week started with the club entertaining our main sponsors Imagine Cruising on Sunday, approx 30 people enjoyed a day of hospitality, bowling and general good fun. The pictures are in the gallery using this link

On Monday in the North Wilts Mixed league we were at home to Warminster B.C. in the last game of the season and won 49-42 (6-4pts).

Tuesday has 4 of the 5 teams playing,   In the Men’s White Horse league the A team were at home to Spencer Melksham D and lost by 1 shot 15-16. The B team had an open date and C team were at home to BOAL’s and lost 11-24.

The Ladies Seidal league the Greens and Blues games were cancelled on Tuesday due to extreme weather conditions.

In the evening it was Club Night as normal.

On Tuesday evening our ladies were away to Box in the B/W league, It was a good game even though we lost 19-49  Box  are top of the league, not having lost a game. Our teams went in good spirit, and enjoyed a nice supper provided by Box.

On Wednesday evening our ladies were  at home to Devizes Diamonds in the Nor West League, Our ladies had a good win 48-14, Winning both rinks, Well done ladies!

In addition on Wednesday there is a Wilson Cup men’s triples game in the last 16  when Calne C are against Trowbridge Town B. Calne C won 22-11 and are now in the quarter finals.

In the M.W.M.T.L. on Thursday the A team were away to Chippenham Park A and won 51-41 (9-1 pts). The B team  were at home to Trowbridge Town B who are top of the league, Calne managed to win 60-47 (9-1 pts). Well done to both teams.

The rearranged game for Seidal league(Blues) due to be played on Friday has been cancelled, due to the weather.

The normal  coaching sessions on Friday has been cancelled due to the heat.

On Saturday there will be normal coaching session, contact Roy for details. The Mixed Pairs final between Sylvia Chambers/David Johns and Sue Pitman/Ian Gregory, has been postponed until Saturday 20th August at 2.00pm, due to the weather temperatures forecast.
