Sunday started with an away game at Hayden Wick, as always it was an enjoyable game against a very friendly team, even the sun shone. It ended u.p a very fair result with Hayden Wick winning 79-76 on the last end. The afternoon was rounded of with sandwiches, cake and beer!
On Monday in the North Wilts Mixed league we were away to Chippenham Town, unfortunately we lost 31.5 – 60, coming away with only 1 point.
In the evening the men’s fours team in the last 16 of the BW National competition were at Spencer Melksham and came away with a 16-15 win and are now in the Quarter finals which is being held at Chippenham Town on Friday this week, start time 18-15pm, well done to Dave Johns, Martin Summers, Hugh Burchell and Barry Wicks (skip).
In the men’s White Horse league there are 2 games, start time 2-00pm ;
in Div 3 – the Falcons were at home to Trowbridge Westbourne B and won 20-14
in Div 5 – the Beez had an open date and the Cavaliers were away to North Wilts F, winning 17-12
The ladies played Box in the Bowls Wiltshire Triples league at home, Our ladies played in good spirit against Box being defeated 16-75.
On Wednesday ASMC are doing green maintenance, so the greens will be closed.
On Thursday in the men’s Mid-Wilts Triples league there are 2 games, both start 6-15pm.
in Premier Div – Calne A are at home to North Wilts A
in Div 2 – Calne B were away to Devizes C, winning 54-45 (6-4 pts)
Friday night is club night, all welcome, be there 5-30pm for 6-00pm start.
Friday also brought the rearranged game in the Men’s Tuesday White Horse League, the Calne Falcons away to Winsley Weavers, the Falcons won 17-12 and are now top of Division 3 and unbeaten, well done lads.
Whilst at Chippenham Town our men’s fours team are in the quarter finals of the BW National competition, start time 18-15pm.
On Saturday morning at 12-30 pm Barry Wicks is playing in the BW National Champion of Champion against Paul Lucas.
