First games of the week were on Monday in the North Wilts Mixed league away to Bradford on Avon, unfortunately we dropped 5 shots due to playing one player short and lost 47-51 (2-8). In the evening Dave Johns played Adie Bolwell in the Bowls Wiltshire National Singles at Spencer Moulton and lost 14-21.

However the Ladies had some success in the evening with 3 playing in the Ladies County Benevolent Triples Competition, Yvonne McColl was away to V Ringham (Chippenham Town) and won, unfortunately Sheila Murphy lost at home to L Young (Highworth), but Sue Pitman who was also at home to P Jones (Supermarine) won. Yvonne and Sue now go through to the 2nd round to be played on Friday 21st July – Sue is at home to C Walker (Supermarine) and Yvonne is away again playing A Fail (Purton). Sadly both teams lost, they were against some very strong opponents, but played well.

Tuesday has 4 games, 3 games starting at 2pm.

On Tuesday our ladies played in the Seidal league  at home to Chippenham Park they had a good game and won 15-11.

Men’s White Horse League – Division 3 the Falcons were away to Trowbridge Westbourne B and won 23-12

Whilst in Division 5 the Beez have an open date, the Cavaliers were at home to North Wilts F. and also won 14-12

The 4th game was in the 2nd round of the Bowls Wiltshire Men’s County Competition against Salisbury, we were up against strong opposition and lost 14-52 overall.

On Tuesday Yvonne and Sue were at Supermarine for the Ladies President Day, It was a great day.

On Wednesday our ladies are playing in the Coronation Triples, The ladies are playing at Wroughton, Pewsey & Marlborough, we wish them good luck.

On Wednesday we entertaied the Masons annual Competition afternoon, it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Thursday there are 3 games, in the Bowls Wiltshire Ladies League they are away to Chippenham Town.

There are 2 games in the Mid-Wilts Triples League ;

Premier Division – the A team were away to North Wilts A and won 53-43 (8-2 points)

Division 2 – the B team were at home to Devizes C. and managed to win as well 61-39 (9-1 points)

On Friday it is Club Night arrive 5-30pm to start at 6pm. Come along for an evening of bowls and refreshments.

Friday evening’s BWL game is postponed due to our ladies playing in the 2nd round of The Benevolent Triples.

In addition on Friday 2 of our Ladies are playing in the Bowls Wiltshire Benevolent Triples 2nd round, Yvonne McColl is away to A.Fail (Purton), whilst Sue Pitman is at home to C Walker (Supermarine)
