Unfortunately the friendly planned for Sunday has been cancelled, due to a clash of fixtures at Pewsey Vale.
On Sunday our ladies played away to North Wilts in Wiltshire Top 10, It was a good game the score does not reflect the game, Calne ladies put up a good fight and lost 45-75.
On Monday there are 3 games, in the afternoon in the North Wilts Mixed league we were at home to Chippenham Town and won 53-44 (8-2 pts).
On Monday evening our Ladies were at home to Avon, they had a good win with score being Calne 40, Avon 23
The other game was in the 1st Round of the Wiltshire Men’s National singles competition, Dave Johns played Dave Williams (Chippenham Town) and won 21-6. Dave Johns now plays on Friday in the 2nd round, details below.
On Tuesday our team played in the B.W Ladies Senior Triples led by Sue Pitman up against a Supermarine team led by M Kilburn, It was a long game and our team lost 12-24,
In the afternoon we have 4 games all starting at 14-00pm.
In the Seidal League the our ladies played against North Wilts at home, it was a disappointing which didn’t really reflect the game, the result Calne 9 North Wilts 22.
Whilst in the Men’s White Horse League there are 3 games.
Division 3 – Falcons were at home to Winsley Weavers and won 30-13 maintaining there position at the top of the league.
Division 5 – Beez were away to Devizes D and won 27-4, whilst the Cavaliers were also at Devizes playing their E team, unfortunately they lost 8-26, putting their top of league position in jeopardy.
In the evening at 6pm in the Bowls Wiltshire Champion of Championed Barry Wicks played Andy Moore, losing 13-21.
On Wednesday evening Ladies our played away to Broughton Gifford in the Nor-West League, it was a very tricky green, but our ladies won with the score Calne 34, Broughton Gifford 32.
On Thursday there were 2 games in the Men’s Mid-Wilts league.
Premier – A team were away to Warminster A and won 56-41 (9-1pts)
Division 2 – the B team were at home to Warminster B and also won 50-47 (8-2pts)
Friday has Club night as normal arrive 17-30 for 18-00pm start. All welcome, why not come and try our hospitality.
In addition to this Dave Johns played at home in the 2nd round of the Bowls Wiltshire National singles competition against G Humphries (Chippenham Town) and luckily the rain eased of and Dave won so now plays Adie Bolwell ( Spencer Moulton) on Monday 17th July in the last 16, well done Dave and good luck on Monday.
