The friendly lawn bowling club in Calne, Wiltshire

Welcome

Thanks for visiting the Calne Bowls Club website, hopefully it’s because you would like to know more about us, either as a newcomer to Lawn Green Bowling, or perhaps as a bowler looking to join a local club. New members are always welcome!

Our Club

Our green is in Anchor Road, Calne – next to the Recreational Club and Calne Rugby Club. Our season runs from April through to September, and we compete in men’s, ladies’ and mixed leagues within Wiltshire. In addition there are various inter-club friendly matches, both in Wiltshire and with teams from other Counties. There are also Club/County Competitions.

Try bowling!

Why not join us? Tuesday Club Nights have now started and run until September 2019 – we open at 5.30pm for a 6pm start, and anyone is welcome to come along to try bowling. All you need to play is a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers, and your first three sessions, together with coaching if required, are completely free.
